Dinoti iOS privacy policy

Updated September 29, 2026. This policy describes the native Dinoti iOS app.

Age and eligibility

The native iOS release is intended for ages 13 and older, or the higher minimum age required where you live. Users under 18 need a parent or guardian’s permission. Age-group selection is stored only on the device, without a date of birth. It is a self-declaration, not identity verification. Online requests are blocked until the eligibility step is complete.

Your choices

Dinoti provides pet games and optional online conversation. You can play without an email account. Online chat requires permission, which you can withdraw in Settings → Privacy. Remembering conversation highlights and mood reflection have separate controls; mood reflection starts off.

Online conversation

After you allow online replies, recent messages, your buddy’s name, local date and time zone, and selected memories when enabled are sent through Dinoti’s server to OpenAI to generate replies. Text you enter may contain personal or sensitive information. Optional mood reflection uses feelings you explicitly share. Requests use store:false, but this does not promise zero retention: service providers may process or retain information under their applicable security and abuse-prevention policies. Avoid sharing information you do not want processed online.

Camera and local measurements

Camera frames are processed on your device for game controls and AR; Dinoti does not save or upload those frames. When game measurement saving is enabled, local records may include face movement and blink summaries, experimental camera-pulse estimates, capture quality, game scores and response timing. These are not validated medical measurements. Game measurements alone do not trigger support suggestions. Optional mood reflection may use qualified local game summaries alongside repeated chat patterns. Switching off game measurement saving leaves camera-based game controls available.

Accounts and cloud backups

Optional email accounts use Google Firebase Authentication. Firebase processes your email and authentication credentials; Dinoti uses session credentials to keep you signed in. Cloud backups you explicitly save are stored in Google Firestore and can include pet progress, chat content and ordinary game history. Experimental measurement archives and the separate local reflection journal are excluded from Dinoti cloud backups. Network services also receive technical information needed to handle requests, such as IP addresses.

Storage and deletion

Dinoti keeps pet progress, recent conversation and compact remembered notes on your device. Local files and cloud copies have different lifetimes; cloud copies remain until you replace or delete them or delete the account. Settings → Delete all my data deletes the active local profile and, when signed in and reauthenticated, its account and known cloud backups. A failed online deletion is reported for retry. Logout does not delete data. Other profiles, exported files and copies on other devices are not removed. Information already processed by service providers is subject to their retention obligations and policies.

No advertising tracking

Dinoti does not include advertising or cross-app advertising tracking. Camera frames and local experimental measurement archives are not sold or sent to the AI service.
